Holding AMP

Liquidity providers (ALP Holder) and AMP holder benefit from long-term yields. To achieve this, Amped combines esAMP and multiplier points, both backed by real returns generated from platform operating fees. esAMP Escrowed AMP (esAMP) serves two functions within the protocol:

1. It can be staked to offer a yield in esAMP.

2. It can be locked to become AMP token after a one-year period.

In the first case, each staked esAMP token offers a yield equivalent to AMP in esAMP and ETH.

Difference between AMP and esAMP:

While esAMP and AMP offer the same advantages in terms of yields on the Amped platform, esAMP is not a transferable token like AMP. To become AMP tokens, esAMP must first be locked for a one-year period; the locked tokens will automatically convert to AMP tokens available in your account after the lock-up period. This mechanism ensures a balance for Amped between staking access and AMP supply release. Vesting:

When a user wishes to convert their esAMP into AMP, they must lock them in the vault available on the Earn page of Amped finance. Once vesting is initiated, the average amount staked to acquire them will be reserved.

For example, if a user stakes 1000 AMP tokens and receives 80 esAMP, and they wish to lock these 80 esAMP, then 800 AMP will be reserved. The esAMP tokens locked in the vault no longer participate in staking and are converted into AMP tokens every second over a period of 365 days (30,079,000 seconds). The reserved AMP tokens during the conversion period continue to offer the same yield in esAMP and ETH as the unreserved AMP. Attention: You must possess AMP to stake your esAMP. If you have esAMP without owning AMP, you will need to acquire AMP to stake your esAMP. Multiplier Points:

To reward long-term AMP/esAMP holders, Amped introduces multiplier points. Multiplier points are used for staking without creating inflation for AMP.

The yield of multiplier points is fixed at 100%, implying that if you deposit 100 AMP into the stacking contract for a one-year period, you will receive 100 multiplier points. Multiplier points are acquired throughout staking, every second. Each multiplier point offers the same yield in ETH as AMP.

When a user wishes to partially or fully withdraw their AMP from the stacking contract, a corresponding amount of multiplier points will automatically burn based on the following calculation: (AMP withdrawals / Total AMP * Total multiplier points). Boost percentage:

Accumulating multiplier points, in addition to offering similar advantages to AMP, unlocks the possibility of obtaining a significant APR bonus. For example, suppose a user holds $1000 worth of AMP with an ETH yield rate of 10%. In this case, the user earns $100 in ETH. If we assume this user has multiplier points equivalent to 20% of their AMP holdings, then the boost percentage will show 20%, and the user will earn an additional $20 in ETH.

The maximum boost percentage is 200%.
